Secrets of Particles

Leadership programmes are structured around groups of cohorts that enrol in multiple programmes and work on tasks like creating exhibits, publishing a journal, and creating new programmes at their science centres. Over a period of three to four years, cohorts of about 30 to 40 monastics attend four or more leadership institutes (a total of 10 weeks or 400 hours of instruction).
The “Secrets of Particles” display was created by the third leadership cohort after they finished their leadership training. The exhibition is about particles, which educates about particles from Buddhists and quantum perspectives.
The initiative was organised and supported by the Science Department of the Library of Tibetan Works Archives, in collaboration with Science for Monks and Nuns, with funding from the Sager Family Foundation and the Templeton Foundation. The “Secrets of Particles” display was created by the third leadership cohort after they finished their leadership training.
